I’m unreasonably proud to announce that my cover of ZZ Top’s “Legs” is in the most recent episode of Coverville, one of my favorite podcasts. If you didn’t guess from the name, Coverville is a show of all cover songs.
You can listen to the show quite easily with iTunes. Just go to the Coverville site and click that button in the upper right-hand corner that says “subscribe in iTunes.”
Perhaps you’ve noticed some new “subscribe to podcast” buttons on this very website here (down on the right). Perhaps you haven’t. More likely, perhaps no one except my mother is reading this. Hi Mom.
Going forward, all my new music will be available by podcast. That means that, if you subscribe, new tracks will be automatically downloaded to iTunes (or whatever podcast listening software you use). Over the past few weeks, I’ve been working on a bunch of new instrumental tracks — seven so far. When I get to ten, I will begin making them available by podcast only (at least for now), one a day for ten days. So, subscribe to my podcast!
I’m sorry I yelled just then. I wasn’t yelling at you. I just got excited.
Check out some other podcasts too. Here are some of my favorites:
Benjamen Walker’s Theory of Everything
They Might Be Giants podcast
The Ricky Gervais Show
It’s Jerry Time
Evil Genius Chronicles
Once you find a few you like (or don’t) AmigoFish is a great place to discover other podcasts you might enjoy. You can rate shows and it gives you recommendations based on your ratings, like Netflix.
I’ll admit that it took me a while to “get” podcasts. But now I’ve really been enjoying them. The short description is: It’s indie radio that you can listen to on your own schedule. The other short description is: It’s an audio blog.
The long description is: It’s indie radio that you can listen to on your own schedule and also it’s an audio blog.
Podcasting and you…Perfect together!
